About the Program
KMHA strives to link personnel from across the cultural and artistic sectors to share and nurture our collective knowledge, skills, and passions. We believe that the more connected our cultural sector caretakers are, the more fruitfully we can all share, protect, and promote Kentucky's remarkable past, vibrant arts, and all the things that make the Commonwealth like nowhere else. KMHA will proactively pair Mentors with a Mentee in order to appropriately match areas of expertise with an applicant's stated goals and objectives.
Mentorship parameters:
- 6-month minimum mentorship period
- Hold conversations at least once a month, either virtually or in-person
- The Mentorship Program is based on need, not all Mentors will be paired in each cohort
- Mentorships commence on January 1 and July 1, please apply 30 days in advance of each deadline
All Mentors are participating in this program on a volunteer basis. If you feel your mentorship needs to extend beyond this, please reach out so that we can connect you with an individual or organization better suited to meet those needs.
All participants must read and agree to the KMHA Code of Conduct before completing your submissions.
Mentee participation is a benefit reserved for KMHA Members. If you are not already a member of KMHA, please click here to join. Membership is not required to be a Mentor, although it is encouraged.
